Editorial Policy
MyCareerSetu publishes career guidance, exam updates, admission timelines, and college explainers for Indian students and parents. Education decisions are high-stakes; this policy explains how we research, attribute, and update content.
Who writes and reviews
Articles are drafted by the editorial team or named counsellors. Time-sensitive exam and result posts are reviewed against official notifications before publish. Author bylines link to counsellor bios with credentials when a named author is assigned.
Sources and citations
- Prefer primary sources: official exam body sites, university portals, and government notifications.
- Cutoff tables and dates must cite the issuing authority or clearly state they are expected/unofficial.
- Hedged language is used when an official date is not yet announced — we avoid inventing certainty.
Fact-checking
Before publishing exam, result, or admission posts, editors verify key claims (dates, eligibility, application windows) against the cited official URL. Corrections are applied to the live article with an updated modified date. Significant errors may be noted in the article body.
Updates and freshness
Result and counselling articles are revisited when official bodies publish new notices. Evergreen career guides are reviewed periodically for outdated fees, process steps, or broken internal links.
Independence and commercial disclosure
Counselling CTAs appear on content pages because MyCareerSetu offers free guidance calls. College listings and rankings are editorial selections from our database — not paid placements unless explicitly labelled. We do not guarantee admissions or jobs; see our FAQ and impact methodology.
Internal linking standards
Guides should link to relevant hubs (career guidance, exam updates, admissions) and deep college or tool pages — not only the homepage. Tracking parameters such as utm_source are stripped from internal links.
